Diploma in Automobile Engineering

Course Summary

Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Polytechnic in Automobile Engineering is a three years course, which is designed to help students gain basic knowledge and skills required by a professional working in the automobile industry.

It is a basic course that a student can choose after completing Class 10th study and further going for higher education. During the course, the candidate gets a chance to explore skills like installation, maintenance and problems associated with the automobile, its devices and equipment.

A candidate pursuing a diploma in Automobile Engineering is well trained in designing, testing and understanding the parts and working of various parts of the automobile, which help them get a job in the automobile industry. Those who are interested in further studies can get direct admission in the second year of a bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for Diploma in Automobile Engineering are given below:

  • The candidate must have passed Class 10th from a recognized board.
  • He/ She must have studied Science and English in qualifying examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects,
  • The minimum percentage required for admission is 50% in Class 10th board.
  • Relaxation is given to candidates with sports quota, PwD or reserved category candidates.

 

Admission Process

Our Institute accept direct admission in Diploma in Automobile Engineering on a merit basis. Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria and based on his/her performance in Class 10th, he/she is considered for admission.

However, candidates can take admission through entrance examination (JEXPO & VOCLET) conduct by WBSET&VE&SD based on the Class X syllabus to consider admission to Diploma in Automobile Engineering.

Since inception of NHIT in 2007 to till date as on 2022 total 14 batches passed out form our institution.

Placement Record of Automobile Engineering students

About 80 to 85 % of the interested and eligible students got placement in industries that visited campus viz  Anand Group, L&T, Jhon Deere, JBM, TIL INDIA, Sharda Motors, Tata Morots. 15 to 20 percent students opt for higher studies. Few students have started their own enterprise in the auto sector.
