President’s Message
The New Horizons Institute of Technology, Durgapur was set up under the aegis of Durgapur Ispat Peoples Society devoted to the cause of education to meet the grow ing demand for technical and professional manpower for industries and also to serve as a training ground for engineering. The Institute is already in its seventh year of experience. The Institution provides necessary infrastructure and is highly qualified and motivated faculty all under one roof or the student community.
The advent of the global economic order, a rapid rate of technological advancement and the information highway have all opened up new opportunities and challenges in the education scenario. With the current boom in the economy, the demand for qualified technical and management professionals have begun to show an upward trend. Our Institute’s collaborations with industry and strategic alliances and partnerships with some of the renowned companies and MNCs have resulted in successful placement assistance of our students in reputed companies.

Secretary’s Message
I feel glad to introduce to you The New Horizons Institute of Technology. Established in 2007 it is the Flagship College of Durgapur Ispat Peoples Society. Now it stands as a premier Diploma College in West Bengal with well-known reputation and with all its eligible courses approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The faculty in the college is one of the best in its class, and the college has a tie-up with several reputed industries in the country so as to provide an excellent on-campus placement to its students.
NHIT aims at not only educating the young to be successful Engineers, Managers and Entrepreneurs but also to chum out socially responsible human beings of tomorrow.
