The New Horizons Institute of Technology (NHIT) has formalized an advanced collaboration framework with the Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), Durgapur. This milestone partnership enables polytechnic students across Computer Science, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines to access joint research facilities, industrial automation benches, and specialized workshops on IoT and Mechatronics.
Under this agreement, senior scientists and technical consultants from CSIR-CMERI will mentor NHIT final-year students on real-world industrial problem statements. Hands-on training modules will focus on CNC programming, sensor integration, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), directly enhancing campus placement readiness.
